I am ready to scream bloody murder this is actually part H & W part rant.
I have excruciating pain in a hip muscle, I hope nothing worse than arthritis. I've been shorter on one side since an accident at 12 and have had hip muscle pain before, so this is nothing new.
However I had an abnormal iron saturation on some work related labs, and I have not shared the results even with my husband or best friend at work until I can see my doctor (the earliest I could get since he had to reschedule my follow up for personal reasons is next Monday). I don't want to share until I know more, and the only info I could get on this particular abnormal is a problem called "hemochromatosis", which involves abnormally high iron levels in the liver being dumped into other organs (reversible), and bones and joints (not reversible). May be in 24/7 public health some time this week as this is painful and I am nervous.
Oh my, I really hope everything is alright. Try and hang in there in the mean time.
Thanks...some Advil killed the hip pain, but one more week until I can confirm or deny the labs. hey, maybe it's a lab error...I'm a human who works in a lab, and I've made mistakes, but we'll see.
hope everything turns out alright; please keep us posted.
I agree and the best of luck to you!
Well, hear's to lab error.
My doctor is running iron saturation & ferritin (a compound related to iron) at another lab and I have to find out this week. He doesn't think there's anything to the possibility of liver disease as other liver related labs are normal.
However I am getting frustrated w health problems. Must return for additional mammography citing "greater density on one side", a "change since last year's mammogram." Will find out exactly what is going on tomorrow, tech explained that change isn't necessarily harmful, but want additional testing. Am just really getting frustrated being in and out of doctors' offices, every time some new problem.
Hope they can do something to alleviate the pain, at least.
Indeed, health issues are frustrating enough without the pain. Oy.
Part h & w part rave, I don't have to go for any more mammography or "breast exam" of any kind. If it was just me without my daughter I probably wouldn't do it at all I just do it so she has a greater chance of growing up with both parents. Until next year...
